Parent-Teacher Association plays a vital role in the functioning and upliftment of the College. Parents of all students are the members of the P T A. An Annual General Body Meeting is held every year. Representatives to the PTA Executive Committee are elected through the General Body Meeting. PTA executive represents parents in various activities of the College and in different Committees. Executive Committee consists of 15 members, Principal, 9 elected members,2 nominated members, and 3 faculty members. PTA Executive Committee acts as a link between parents and institutions. It works closely with Parents, Teachers, and Management. PTA organizes variety co-curricular and extracurricular programs. Personal and financial support for extension, infrastructure development, and student support is provided by the PTA. The Committee meets every month and discusses programs and activities of the College. PTA also takes initiative in providing welfare schemes for students. Class/Batch wise parent-teacher meetings are arranged for effective parent-teacher interactions.

Elder Marian Association is the old students’ association of St. Mary’s College, which is functioning effectively from the time first batch passed out of the college. It is officially registered in 2019. All students who have completed their study from the College are members of Elder Marians. General body meeting is held every year on 26 th of January in the College. An annual newsletter ‘REVERIE’ is being published from 2009. Elder Marians organizes free medical camps for public and students, cookery shows, display of short films of social importance, lectures and talk shows, etc for students. Alumnae also serve as resource persons for lectures, various competitions and conduct classes and lectures for slow and advanced learners. Alumnae Association conducts “Gem of St Mary’s by evaluating the overall excellence for the outgoing students every year. Elder Marians also contribute to the infrastructural development of the College. Departmental level Alumnae meetings are also conducted.
SMART is the Retired Teachers Association of St. Mary’s College, Thrissur. All retired faculty who were a part of St Mary’s College are its members. SMART is associated with many social, cultural and charitable activities benefitting many deserving students and people in and around our institution.
SMART maintains a very cordial relationship with the faculty of the College. They visit and interact with faculty and students and are strong pillars of support for the Institution. They participate in major activities of the college and are invited for College Day Programmes and Retirement functions. Retired faculty serve as resource persons, provides expert classes, judge competitions and so on.
They contribute to both academic and non-academic activities. They fund Scholarships and free ships for students and staff. Their service to society is worth mentioning. College serves as venue for various SMART meetings, Onam and Christmas celebrations and Felicitation functions. They join hands with alumnae for organizing various programmes.
An amount of Rs 10,000 /- was given for helping a Kidney patient in 2014-15, and also contributed Rs 20,000/- towards the welfare of mentally disabled persons of Asha Bhavan, Thrissur.
In 2015-16, Rs 25,000/- was contributed towards the participation of students in World power lifting Championship at Hong Kong.
In 2016-17, Elocution Competition was conducted for students of St. Mary’s College (Sub: Fresh Water Availability In Kerala ) Cash prizes of Rs 3000/- Rs 2000/-,Rs 1000/- were awarded to the winners.
In 2018-19, as part of flood relief, an amount of Rs 100000/-was given to a student of the college for repairing the damaged hours in the flood. Rs 20,000/- was given to Central Jail, Thrissur for installing the audio- system in the Jail.
